Our Commitment
Bringing Health & Wellness to the People of Morocco
Our Mission Our Founders, Dr. Said Nafai OTD, OTR/L CLT and Elizabeth Stevens-Nafai, MS, OTR/L, CLT, are committed to creating knowledgeable, skilled, and competent occupational therapists in an emerging job market who can treat people of all ages in need of rehabilitation to promote function and prevent injury and illness throughout Morocco.
Our Vision We envision that within 5 years from the strt of the OT education program, there will be skilled occupational therapy (OT) clinicians who are qualified to work in variety of settings such as schools, homes and hospitals and that this work will assist people of all ages to live their lives to its fullest. We also envision that OT will be one of the major stakeholders in the healthcare system in Morocco.
Our Intention According to the WFOT only two Arab countries, Jordan in 1992 and Palestine in 2006, have full WFOT membership. Five African countries that have full membership with WFOT are South Africa in 1952, Kenya in 1976, Zimbabwe in 1990, Uganda in 1996, and Tanzania in 2002. Additionally, Nigeria in 1992, Namibia in 2000, and Tunisia in 2012 have Associate Membership status. As the program grows in Morocco, we hope to achieve full WFOT membership.
